Unable to edit or Open Office documents Downloaded from the Internet

Problem

When downloading a document, PowerPoint presentation or other Office document from a website you are unable to modify, save or print the content.

You may see the following message in a yellow bar:
“This file originated from an Internet location and might be unsafe. Click for more details.”

Cause

This is caused by the Protected Mode feature in Microsoft Office.

Solution

With the Office program open:
Office 2010: Click File -> Options.
Office 2007: Click the Office button, then Options (in the bottom right of the menu).
Click the Trust Center tab.
Click Trust Center Settings…
Select the Protected View tab and disable the top option: “Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet“.
Click OK, then click OK again.

Problem:  Setup cannot find office.en-us\dwtrig20.exe during office installation Solution: Method 1 : a) Uninstall skype form control panel. b) After installing office, re-install skype. Solution:     Method 1: Open any Office Application, go to File > Account Under "User Information", select Sign Out Restart Windows Open Office Application, go to File > Account > Sign In Method 2: Login into Login.live.com Update your information(Complete profile) Signout from Microsoft Account and Reboot the computer.
