Cannot open Office 2013 attachments in Outlook 2013.??

Cause:

When you downloads or open office 2013 attachment file it won't open at all.You might get the application screen but it never open the document because of the File protection.

Solution:

1) Open your office application.
2) Like open word 2013.
3) Click File-->Options--Trust Center Settings
4) Select Protected Mode.
5) Disable everything from there.
6) Click on OK button
7) Double click on your Office attachment file

Hurrey@@@ It opens the documents.

  1. HELP PLEASE !!! My problem is the same as the poster. I followed your solution steps above, but when I selected "Protected Mode" in the Trust Center Settings, none of the links provided would open. My cursor sits there and nothing happens. No wonder I can't open email attachments. Also, I am running Windows 8.1, does that have anything to do with this problem? This is only one of many, many problems I have had with Office 2013, I dread getting on the computer and am tired of crying at the keyboard. (Thanks for letting me vent).

  4. Mine still does not open. It tells me that it cannot find the file. Please make sure the file hasn't been moved, deleted, etc.

      Please try to disable the antivirus program and try again.!!

  5. If you've already done this and experience the problem again later on go back in check all the boxes and uncheck them again. I've had to do this once and it seemed to fix the problem.

Problem:  Setup cannot find office.en-us\dwtrig20.exe during office installation Solution: Method 1 : a) Uninstall skype form control panel. b) After installing office, re-install skype.
