Problem:

Outlook Error: “Unable to open outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened. The set of folders could not be opened”

Cause:

 Due to corrupted Outlook Profile.

Solution:

Step 1
Open Start>>Control Panel>>Mail. You will be getting a ‘Mail Set Up’ window.

Step 2
Before doing any modification let’s make a backup of Archive file. Otherwise you may lose your old mails. So click the ‘Data Files’

then ‘Open Folder’ button.

Step 3
Copy and paste the file in to a safe place.

Sometimes you are unable to paste. You will be getting an error message. In such a situation open ‘Task Manager’ by pressing ‘Alt+ Control+ Delete’ keys simultaneously.

Select the ‘Process’ tab and look for ‘OUTLOOK.EXE’ right click and select 'End Process'.

After that you can paste the archive file to any folder.

Step 4
 Click ‘Show Profiles’ button from the mail Set Up window.

It will display the current profiles in your computer. Then remove all the profiles by using ‘Remove’ button.

Step 5
Now open Outlook, you will be asked to set up a new account. Then proceed.

Problem:  Setup cannot find office.en-us\dwtrig20.exe during office installation Solution: Method 1 : a) Uninstall skype form control panel. b) After installing office, re-install skype. Method 2: a) Browse disk by right clicking on it with mouse. b) Double click on setup.exe file from the same location. Method 3: Note: Take backup of your registry before modifying it.  For registry backup: open "run" >> type "regedit" >> goto "file" >> click on "export" on desktop. a) Edit the registry. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > MICROSOFT > OFFICE Delete the keys (items) you find in the OFFICE folder but not the sub-folders. This error occur due to some compatibility with the older version office installation. 1.        Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15, look for EXCEL.EXE 2.       Right Click on this, Properties, In Compatibility tab, check ""Run this Program as an Administrator" 3.       Start the Excel. You might again get the error. Close Exel and uncheck ""Run this Program as an Administrator"". Start Exel again. You should not get the error anymore. 4.       File > Options > Advanced - In General section (go very much down in Advanced), check ""Ignore Other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)"".
