How to Fix Outlook 2010 to Open Attachments

Step 1:
Create a folder in any drive. For example create one folder in drive C:\ and name it as temp

Step 2:
Open start menu and type regedit then hit Enter. Registry edit window will open.

Now we are going to do some tricks in the registry.
Step 3:
In the registry editor window go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security\ (Outlook 2010)

[For Outlook 2003: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security
For Outlook 2007: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Security]
Select the Security folder, you can find OutlookSecureTempFolder in the right side
Step 4:
Double click OutlookSecureTempFolder.

In the Value data field type C:\temp\ ('temp' is the folder name that we created before) and then click OK

Step 5:
Close registry editor window and restart the computer. That’s all, now you are able to open any attachment files in Outlook 2010.
