Cant install Office 2013 x86 as it says I have x64 bit components.

Problem :

Cant install Office 2013 x86 as it says I have x64 bit components.

Solution:
Method 1
Uninstall Office 2010/2013 using the Fix it tool:

If you find Office 2013 in the Control Panel, try removing the same:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

Note: If you have issues in running the Fix it directly, you may save the file to the Desktop and then run the Fix it tool.

Once all files are removed, restart the computer then install Office 2013 (x86 or x64) as desirable.


Method 2:
You have to remove the office 2010 installation traces from your computer.

Please the following steps:

Step 1 : Type CMD in start search since you are using windows 8, you can press windows key+Q and type CMD right click on the icon and open it as administrator mode.

Step 2 : Download the vbs file from the following location:

Rename the file as per your choice like test.vbs.

Step 3 : In Cmd type cd\ and press enter and you will get c:\ then type test.vbs and gain press enter key.
You will get a black screen and will remove office 2010 stack completely from your computer and then you can try installing office 2010.

Problem:  Setup cannot find office.en-us\dwtrig20.exe during office installation Solution: Method 1 : a) Uninstall skype form control panel. b) After installing office, re-install skype.
